Devoted to the problem of alcoholism and chemical dependency as a public health issue, it was established to meet the growing need for alcohol, tobacco, and other drug prevention and education services in Dutchess County. CAPE provides numerous prevention & education programs to the Dutchess County community. Our programs include: ALIVE AT 25 THE BUTT STOPS HERE CAMPUS COALITION COLLEGE CONSORTIUM THE MARATHON PROJECT PEER ENGAGEMENT SPECIALISTS PREVENTION EDUCATION PROGRAMS PREVENTION EDUCATION & COUNSELING PROGRAM (PROJECT SUCCESS) PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION PROGRAM RECOVERY COACHING AND TRAINING OF TRAINERS (TOT) SCREENING BRIEF INTERVENTION AND REFERRAL TO TREATMENT (SBIRT) (Teen intervene) SUBSTANCE ABUSE PREVENTION SKILLS TRAINING OF TRAINERS (TOT) TEEN DRIVING: A FAMILY AFFAIR TRAINING FOR INTERVENTION PROCEDURES (TIPS) VICTIM IMPACT PANEL (VIP) Find out more at http://capedc.org/programs/ Our mission is to be recognized as the premier substance use disorder and addiction prevention provider in the Mid-Hudson Region by implementing nationally established educational programs, policies, and services. Our vision is a health focused community educating families on risk factor contributing to substance use disorders, emphasizing prevention and harm reduction efforts, and engaging in compassionate care practices to better understand addiction as a complex brain disease.
