www.kraftwerkgroup.com

kraftwerk Inc. is a global leading company in the field of new materials and nanotechnology. It has developed a completely new compact fuel cell, that runs on natural gas -- LPG, LNG, CNG, propane, butane etc. -- as well as hydrogen. It is the only low cost, light weight fuel cell capable of repeated cycling and quick startups. It can be used for portable, stationary and transport devices. What Is The Technology Breakthrough? kraftwerk’s full metal fuel cell (FMFC) technology is a solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) – but with a full metal jacket and proprietary nanotechnology layers. It is rugged with almost unlimited cycling capability and a startup time of only seconds. It is lightweight with an energy density that can be more then 50 times greater than Li-Ion batteries. Previous generations of fuel cells use platinum which is more expensive then gold. By using nickel in a compact configuration the FMFC is more cost effective than previous fuel cells. It is also less expensive than Li-Ion batteries and produces less CO2 pollution on a full life cycle basis. FMFC was first developed in Germany in 2006 and is protected by 27 international patents.
