WAGPET is an independent not-for-profit company, which has been operating in Western Australia since 2002. Our mission is to develop competent and confident medical and health professionals able to practise in a variety of settings and especially in areas of medical service need. WAGPET's role is to develop highly skilled general practitioners to meet the diverse medical needs of the Western Australian community. We provide access to high-quality, innovative and relevant education and training to support doctors-in-training to develop the necessary skills to practise safely in their communities. Our regionally distributed model services metropolitan, outer-metropolitan, regional, rural and remote areas based on local clinical needs. Our ten Regional Advisory Committees (RACs) span the breadth of WA, ensuring we deliver regionally specific quality education and training.
