Vibrant Communities - Tamarack Institute
www.tamarackcommunity.caTamarack Institute works with with leaders in non-profits, governments, businesses and the community to make the work of advancing positive community change easier and more effective. We work deeply in two practice areas - Cities Reducing Poverty and Cities Deepening Community - where we turn theory into practice by creating peer learning networks and working one-on-one with organizations to help them achieve their social change goals. Cities Reducing Poverty is a collective impact movement aimed at reducing poverty for 1 million Canadians through the efforts of local multi-sector roundtables and the alignment of poverty reduction strategies at the municipal, provincial and federal levels. Cities Deepening Community is dedicated to developing our collective understanding about the power of citizens and supporting programs, policies and practices that strengthen communities and neighbourhoods and mobilize citizen leadership to enhance social capital.
