The capital of Gangnam-gu is located in South-east part of Seoul. The East faces Songpa-gu with boundary of Tancheon , the West faces Seocho-gu following Gangnamdaero which connects to Hannamdaero, the North faces Seocho-gu and Sungnam city along the line of Guryong mountain and Daemo mountain, and the North faces Sungdong-gu and Yongsan-gu with boundary of Han river. Gangnam-gu has especially well-developed street-network with unique characteristics. The Cheongdam-dong, Apgujeong-dong areas are famous for fashion, arts, video, animation, and distribution. Samsung-dong and Nonhyeon-dong are specialized in art gallery, pottery, and furniture business. Also recently, the area of Poi-dong is getting popular with venture enterprises with balanced developments. Moreover, Gangnam is a district where most of citizens reside in high-class apartment houses and large apartment complexes. It has convenient conditions with balanced formation of large department stores, cultural facilities, and green belts for the daily lives of citizens.
