With the focus primarily on things like infrastructure, mass feeding programs, and large-scale development, what’s been forgotten is the people. Don’t get us wrong, that type of aid funding is vitally important and still has its place. But now more than ever, it is time for us to invest in the development of people to see an end to extreme poverty. While there remains great value in digging wells, constructing roads, and establishing healthcare programs, we must not forget that Africa’s greatest resource is her people.
