In late 2017 the Downtown Evansville Economic Improvement District (EID) was formed by property owners in the core of Downtown Evansville. The EID provides services and benefits to its property owners beyond those the City provides. EID initiatives are funded by an annual assessment on member properties. Currently the EID works to create a cleaner, safer, and more verdant Downtown Evansville; to share the story of Downtown Evansville through branding, events, and marketing efforts; and, advocates for additional development and amenities which will benefit member property owners.
