The organization is one of seventeen Dispute Resolution Centers (DRCs) established in the State of Texas to resolve citizen disputes peacefully and expeditiously. The majority of our funding comes from public funds as authorized by Section 154.052 of the Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code. DRS North Texas mediates court-referred cases and offers pre-litigation mediation services which provide community members an alternative to filing a court case. We also conduct mediation training, victim-offender mediations for the Tarrant County Juvenile Justice Court, and other community services.
