This is done for less than a complete re-roofing project. Sunvek foam roofs are meant for long term service. Sunvek Foam Insulation Spray foam insulation doesn't sag or shrink. Sprayed directly into the cavity, foam expands into a fully adhered insulation barrier. 2" of closed cell 2 pound density foam classifies as a vapor barrier and gives and R-value of R6.8 per inch. While all insulation is measured in 'R-Value" it doesn't take into account the radiative or convective properties of heat energy. Foamed in place insulation is applied directly to the substrate and cannot possibly allow for convective loops, unlike loose filled or batts.
