I am a visual fine artist based in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. My work is a combined use of a camera-less photography technique and a printing process called cyanotype. I produce photograms by placing 3-dimensional objects directly onto hand-coated sensitised paper. My current work explores motifs and objects that often evoke hidden stories concerning memory and identity. I use items connected to the feminine and domestic function – garments of antiquity, underwear and items of lace. I am interested in historical social structures and roles of women, especially within the Victorian era. To visit my studio please email studio@angelachalmers.com Collaborations and commissions welcome. Website: www.angelachalmers.com
