YAR Flanders occupies a unique position in the Flemish youth welfare landscape. Through two programs - YAR Coaching and YAR Wonen - it helps vulnerable young people take control of their lives and/or living situation. A personal coach, a network of volunteer workers and partner organizations promote the integration of young people into the social fabric. The programs focus on potential, not problems. YAR Flanders makes young people realize that they are responsible for the choices they make and their consequences. Our mission is to make them so powerful that they can get their lives on track and be independent in society. YAR Flanders also offers a triple win: Young people find their life path again, which benefits society. Volunteer employees grow personally, learn new skills and become ambassadors of their company in the broader social context. 3. Companies gain competent and loyal employees when they allow them to take time off for their engagement. This reflects positively on the company image.
