The International Institute for Nanotechnology (IIN) at Northwestern University represents and unites more than $1 billion in nanoscience research, educational programs, and supporting infrastructure. Twenty-eight startup companies have been launched based on IIN research. Under the leadership of renowned chemist Chad Mirkin, the IIN brings together exceptional researchers across multiple disciplines to make groundbreaking scientific and technological advances. The IIN has a deep talent pool of more than 180 faculty members from 32 academic departments and four schools at Northwestern University, as well as a network of more than 3,000 affiliated graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
