Ferndale Fire Rescue is a full service emergency response organization. Emergency Medical services is one of our busiest functions, so we provide full service Advanced Life Support (Paramedic) transport. We also provide fire education, prevention, inspection, investigation, and suppression. Full response Hazardous Materials (HazMat) team as well as a full response Technical Rescue Team. Technical Rescue incorporates the disciplines of confined space, collapse, heavy machine, rope high & low angle, and trench rescue. These Teams are accomplished through a cooperative partnership called the OakWay. The OakWay is an incorporated Mutual Aid organization comprised of eight Oakland County paid professional fire rescue agencies, the OakWay group also forms MABAS 3202 (Mutual Aid Box Alarm System) a state wide mutual aid response organization.
