The Faculty Center for Ignatian Pedagogy encourages excellence in teaching and learning and supports Loyola educators while they work to teach in a way that cares for the whole person. We help implement innovative teaching and learning strategies that incorporate focus on intellectual, social, cultural, and spiritual context of students today while reinforcing formation of authentic Ignatian culture and mutual transformation for Loyola educators and learners. FCIP envisions a teaching and learning culture at Loyola where all educators are considered life-long learners and co-creators engaged in on-going development of meaningful, equitable, innovative, engaging, and communal pedagogical values and practices while promoting equity, inclusion, social awareness, and justice.
