The Kids Cancer Foundation is a 501(c)(3)charity that provides hope and support to local children and families battling cancer and/or serious blood disorders. We accomplish this by providing supportive medical care, disease and treatment education and financial assistance amongst numerous additional services. When a child is diagnosed with cancer, life changes dramatically. Chemotherapy and/or radiation, medical procedures, adverse effects, doctor and hospital visits, etc., soon consume their lives and the lives of their entire family. Doctors and nurses provide medical care; however, families need additional support. The Kids Cancer Foundation provides the comprehensive and supportive care so desperately needed to improve the quality of life of the children and their families. We educate patients and families about their diagnosis and treatment and provide the physical, emotional and financial support needed to navigate through this difficult journey. The Kids Cancer Foundation has the knowledge and resources to advocate and support the children and families throughout treatment and beyond. We work collaboratively with the medical team and coordinate local, state and national services to ensure the medical and non-medical needs of the patients and families are met in a comprehensive, timely manner. This coordination and delivery of supportive care is critical as it has been shown to increase both a child’s quality of life and chance of survival. Help Us Help Them Fight!
