Children with TIS usually endure a range of surgery to implant the Titanium Rib, expand them, then finally remove. An average TIS child will have somewhere between 35-45 surgeries between the ages of 1 and 15. This groundbreaking surgery was developed in San Antonio and the San Antonio area continues to be the leader in treatment of TIS. Our Foundation serves children nationwide.
