CREATA is a registered Non Governmental Organization (NGO) founded in 2006. CREATA is a Latin word meaning either the verb “to create” or the noun “creation” referring to all created things. Hence the name connotes not only an integral approach to development but also to the integrity of creation of which human beings are stewards and dependants. Our work is therefore rooted in this word, to provide opportunity for young people to be creative, exploring their potentials and finding solutions to their problems and to inspire the people of Kenya to love and build their country with a renew energy and conviction. CREATA is about transformative justice; striving to bring Kenyans to a common ground to address conflicts and social injustices. Our programs are designed to explore avenues of empowering the Child and more so the girl child, the youth and women in Kenya. In collaboration with our International and local partners, we pursue Peace and Governance, Sports based Development, Leadership and integrity and Advocacy. Our major tool in these pursuits is Sports and Culture. We have curved a niche in using sports as a catalyst in advocating for a reversal of and seeking solutions to endemic social injustices that are the main causes of violent conflicts that ravage the continent.
