Jillians Dream, Inc.
www.jilliansdream.orgA new initiative with a mission to raise funds for lung cancer research. Jillian’s Dream was created in memory of Jillian Miller, who lost her valiant battle against Stage IV lung cancer at the young age of 29. Jillian believed in “paying it forward”, therefore she participated in a clinical trial, if not to prolong her survival, but to eventually help someone who would receive the same diagnosis. That is why her family and friends are partnering with Uniting Against Lung Cancer to fund critical research that will benefit future lung cancer patients. Jillian Blyth Miller, BSN,RN,CCRN,MSN Jillian’s Dream from childhood was to be a part of the medical profession. She earned her BSN & MSN at the University of Miami. Her initial dream was to be “hands on” with patients and where she thought she could make the utmost contributions to patient healing and comfort. Jillian was critical care nurse, at Miami’s Jackson Memorial Hospital Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit where she had the opportunity to assist in significant neuroscience research. Jillian’s greatest education came as a patient. She knew that, as a patient, contributing to research remained and is the key to working towards a cure. That was and remained her lasting dream.
