Jake Ruben is the owner/engineer of RS Productions. He take on a variety of roles in the business including recording/ mixing engineer, Electrical Engineer, DJ, musician, music enthusiast and arts supporter. After receiving a B.S. in Audio Engineering Technology from the University of Hartford he moved to the Big Apple where he started Ruben Subin Productions (RSP) a company that has three concentrations: mixing, recording and audio teaching. As well as running RSP, Jake Ruben also interns at The Cutting Room Studios in New York City where he is quickly climbing the ranks to be part of the amazing team of engineers that already call TCR their home. His recent studio work spans a wide variety of genres, including Singer/Songwriter, Traditional Celtic folk, Rock, Punk, Rap, Classical, Christian Worship and more. An open mind and a strong drive to create wonderful music has taken him all over the north east where he has been fortunate to work with an array of musicians and producers. Jake Ruben's passion for working with pro-audio equipment doesn't stop at the studio, he also has a strong passion for repairing, building and maintenance. Some notable tech moments to date include repairing an MCI JH-600 console. These repairs included recapping and repairing 22 of the channels and diagnosing various problems throughout the board. Jake remains an active member of the National Audio Engineering Society and put a large emphasis on quality work in a laid back environment.
