Introduction D.A.V. College, affiliated to Tribhuvan University, started running BBA and BBS programs in 2003. Since its debut, D.A.V. has been working incessantly to realize its goal of enhancing the quality of education and turning in skilled manpower for the development of the country. While doing so, the college remains consistently committed to its motto—“Eastern Heart and Western Mind.” Envisioned by one of the prominent Business Houses of the country and run by an excellent team of academicians, the college has been preparing such manpower as can meet the challenges of the 21st century with aplomb. D.A.V. College cultivates its own teaching and learning culture by building on the existing pedagogy and bringing in innovative methodologies. It places a high premium on the development of the research skills of its students. All the faculties of D.A.V. College are highly competent and conversant with the most up-to-date teaching pedagogy. Students at D.A.V. are encouraged to participate assertively in classroom discussion with subject teachers and to confidently share their ideas among themselves and, after much contemplation and deliberation, to translate them into actions. The college regularly arranges for guest lectures, seminars, simulations, image enhancement for job market, workshops, industrial visits, soft skills development programs, etc. The focused spotlights at D.A.V. are the teaching of case study, report writing and presentation—the practical skills that the students will be falling back upon in their subsequent, professional career. D.A.V. College offers four-year (eight-semester) BBA and four-year BBS courses at the Bachelor level. Affiliated to Tribhuvan University, the BBA and BBS programs specifically aim to: 1) Prepare middle level professionals for business and non-business sectors. 2) Develop entrepreneurship of evaluating risk and taking challenges in the emerging global business environment.
