The Warwick Debating Society is one of the largest, friendliest, and most successful debating institutions, both nationally and across Europe. We are also one of the largest societies at Warwick, and have been a top 3 society every year since 2010. The Society welcomes students of all backgrounds and experience levels, from absolute novices to hardened veterans. Our members stem from different degree levels and disciplines, from undergraduate PPE and Maths freshers to postgraduate TeachFirsters and Engineers. Everyone is welcome to come along to our sessions! Individuals join us at anytime throughout the year and participate in several ways; speaking; judging and spectating. All of which improves the skills and confidence to help people vocalise their thoughts. Beyond this we also take part at university competitions on most weekends, host our own Schools- and University-level competitions, and organise public debates with world-class guest speakers. As a diverse, inclusive and expanding society, Warwick Debating is helping to provide access to useful skills through an engaging hobby. We hope you can join us in our goal!
