The AIAA University of New South Wales Student Branch (AIAA UNSW) is one of only 3 student branches within the Sydney Section of the AIAA. We work with the AIAA University of Sydney Student Branch and AIAA Sydney Section to better connect students with the aerospace industry and provide networking opportunities. Free membership of the UNSW branch is open to all students interested in the aerospace field. Student membership of our parent organisation, AIAA (aiaa.org) costs $25 USD, however provides further access to resources and opportunities for students within the global context of the organisation and industry. We run frequent events for the benefit of members, focussing on building ties with key industry players as well as research developments and openings. Events have previously included site visits to Qantas Engineering in Mascot and the Optus Telecommunications Satellite Array in Belrose.
