A Procurator (or "Procurador de los Tribunales" in Spanish) is an agent representing others in a court of law, a typical figure in Spanish law and judiciary system, similar to other figures in countries retaining Roman civil law such as "Solicitadores de execução" in Portugal or "Huissiers de Justice" in France and many other countries. Procurators, in Spain, also serve as a liaison between the lawyer, client and court, file pleadings and other documents, recieve court orders, serve judicial documents in civil, commercial and/or criminal matters, and generally check up on the status of the assigned cases.
