The department was set up in 1991 by Andrew Laithwaite to provide independent financial advice to the firm's corporate and private clients. In August 2003, as a result of the increasing level of regulation within the financial services field, the department was formally hived off into a separate trading company in its own right and now trades as Laithwaite Financial Services Ltd. The company trades from its own freehold premises on the outskirts of Woking and offers advice to private clients and small corporate entities. Principal Activities The company is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) and the business activity is split between giving general investment, pension and protection advice to private individuals, as well as advice appertaining to corporate matters, such as company pension schemes and death in service schemes. The company operates with four fully qualified Financial Advisers, all of whom are supported by a Paraplanner and an experienced team of administrators.
