Colorado Heli-Ops is a full service helicopter operation in Broomfield, CO featuring a flight training school, commercial and utility operation. Established in 2009, Colorado Heli-Ops is dedicated to making a difference in the training industry. Heli-Ops was the first helicopter flight school in the nation to develop and use a curriculum wide FITS Scenario Based Training system, and teach higher order thinking skills to our pilots in training. In 2010 they were awarded Rotor & Wing Magazine Editors Choice Award for our efforts. Most recently Heli-Ops was published in Rotor Magazine Fall 2014 about their safety management program initiated by Mike Franz with Helicopter SBT.
