We want to break the trend of fast furniture and give people access to consciously crafted, contemporary furniture and homeware that enables them to bring home a story, and support job creation in craft communities. We do this by developing sustainable and innovative designs that are revitalising crafts through a contemporary aesthetic, developing a way for people to visualise the possibility in traditional crafts as part of their every day living. Founder, Jehanara Knowles, grew up between New Delhi and London, fuelling her passion for the fusion of tradition in her early years. Our furniture and accessories are all inspired by a component of traditional craft, revitalised through a modern aesthetic, whilst telling the story of the maker and the materials used. Beginning with the skilled history behind the artisan, our designs incorporate age-old techniques such as cane weaving and stone carving, whilst reflecting a contemporary ideology and style for today's generation. A conscious drive to utilise natural and sustainably sourced materials lies at the heart of our production. Constantly striving for timeless beauty and quality that is born out of a desire for tradition and innovation, these pieces hold within them stories dating back generations and are designed and made to last for generations to come.
