DSPI is a multidisciplinary centre of excellence for research and teaching in social policy and the development and systematic evaluation of social interventions, at the University of Oxford. Our research explores seven themes – poverty and social inequalities; welfare states, gender, and care; social policy and Covid-19; violence prevention; child and family welfare; political economy; and health inequalities and social policy. Our graduate students study in one of two programmes: Comparative Social Policy (CSP) and Evidence Based Intervention and Evaluation (EBSIPE).
