The Gap believes in the transformational power of people getting together to support one another. Also known as The Warwick Percy Estate Community Projects Ltd., we are a growing registered charity (no. 1086640) and not-for-profit company (04102182), bringing the community together in Warwick for more than 20 years. Our work focuses on three main areas: Disadvantaged children and young people: We provide engaging, low-cost, universal youth club activities at four locations in Warwick, helping children and young people, aged 7 to 16, develop better personal and social relationships, increased self-confidence, and increased healthy lifestyle choices. We also provide detached youth work in the community. Isolated and lonely older adults: We provide weekly, social and wellbeing activities for vulnerable elderly people, helping them find companionship, improved mobility, and health and wellbeing, enabling them to live a better quality of life and remain independent for longer. Building stronger communities: We provide a friendly, welcoming community centre in North Warwick, hosting a wide variety of community groups, exercise classes, and services. Plus, we run community outreach in the most deprived area of Warwick at the Packmores community hub, helping low-income families with food and cost-of-living support. Our mission is leading the way to promote community togetherness and personal fulfilment by providing a safe and welcoming environment where people can meet and participate in social and physical activities; support groups; volunteering and learning, with the aim of enhancing overall quality of life. Our vision is for a vibrant, happy community filled with respect, compassion and confidence, where aspirations are realised, and friendships thrive.
