Founded in 1899 Badminton Ireland is the national governing body for the sport in Ireland and one of nine founding members of the International Badminton Federation (IBF), now known as the Badminton World Federation (BWF). Badminton Ireland is also a member of Badminton Europe, the Olympic Federation for Ireland, Paralympics Ireland and The Federation of Irish Sport. We work with the four Branches of Connacht, Leinster, Munster and Ulster Badminton, along with external stakeholders including Sport Ireland, Sport NI, Olympic Federation of Ireland, Irish Institute of Sport, Sport Ireland Coaching Ireland, The Federation of Irish Sport and the Local Sports Partnership network.
