Cresta Motor Yachts
www.crestamotoryachts.comCresta Motor Yachts was established in 1965. It was the small coastal town of Castle Hill in New South Wales, on the rugged East Australian coastline, notorious for its inclement weather, picturesque bays and harbours and home to some of Australia’s best sport fishing, that would set the scene for brothers Ron and Arthur Robinson to design and build Cresta’s very first vessel. The Robinson brothers were originally involved in the supply of boatbuilding timber (mostly North Coast spotted gum) to yards in the local area throughout the 1940s and 50s. In the early 1960s they were introduced to a new material called ‘fibreglass’ that was being used in small canoes but not yet in boats. After some trial and error the brothers decided it could be used effectively in larger ocean going vessels. Moving forward, Cresta recognises the value of an in-house design team, employing Naval and Interior Architects to work together with the vessel owner from day one. Cresta’s custom yard performs full 3D renderings, detailed schematics, performance estimates, full scale interior mock-ups and an endless choice of interior fabrics and soft furnishings to choose from, which are all standard features of a Cresta Motor Yacht. Cresta is truly a global business. The distribution network stretches from Europe, The Middle East, Asia, USA, India, Australia and New Zealand. Cresta has never deviated from it indelible ethos of ‘Quality, Workmanship and Dependability since 1965’. Today, Cresta is a composition of past and present. Cresta’s enduring commitment to provide superior quality, ongoing factory support and tremendous value, in combination with employing innovative and highly skilled individuals who utilise the most advanced technology and unrivalled techniques in motor yacht manufacturing, ensures the best possible results and fortifies Cresta’s claim to the title of one of Australia’s most iconic motor yacht brands.
