GFD is a renewable energy development business specialising in bringing a range of innovative low-carbon energy technologies to market in the UK. GFD is able to develop projects from inception through to energy generation and operation. Through the harnessing of clean renewable energy, our aim is to continue the advance towards a low-carbon economy. Bangley Quarry Biogas (BQB), located in East Lothian, Scotland is the most recent anaerobic digestion gas-to-grid project developed by GFD. The project will process organic material under anaerobic conditions – a process  which speeds up the natural break down of organic  material. It is designed to generate renewable gas  (biomethane) for injection  into the local gas grid, and  the generation of renewable transport fuel.
