The Student Leadership Conference at the University of British Columbia is a student-driven initiative that provides delegates with a focused, one-day opportunity to develop their skills, establish a solid network of peers and mentors, and discover their leadership potential. The SLC is the largest leadership event at UBC, and the only leadership conference of its kind in Canada, attracting outstanding students who are leaders both inside and outside the classroom. Since its inception in 2003, the SLC has engaged student leaders from all faculties and years of study. Because of the continued support of students, faculty, and staff, each year the conference draws more than 1,300 student delegates.
