8.2 Obst & Ziehmann GmbH was founded in 2003 and is part of the 8.2 group which traces back to 1995. The company has a staff of over 20 employees with a solar PV department of 15 experts. The 8.2 group consists of 21 independent engineering offices with over 150 employees; 100 of these are graduated engineers. Solar PV activities accumulate over 2,700 MWp project references with a focus on the technical assistance for lenders and investors along the development cycle: Feasibility Studies, Technical Due Diligence, energy yield assessment, negotiation assistance, construction monitoring, acceptance testing, optimizing operations and technical inspection. The group has additional experience in construction monitoring for onshore wind parks all over the world (over 3,300 MW) and advised on offshore wind parks with more than 1,500 MW capacity since 2007. In the spring of this year 2022, Mr. Hamm succeeded Mr. Ziehmann as shareholder and a change of name followed. The "8.2 Obst & Ziehmann GmbH" is now the "8.2 Obst & Hamm GmbH".
