The Beauty Backed fundraising initiative began in 2020 to support the independent businesses and entrepreneurs in the beauty industry who were directly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. After a successful launch, which saw £600,000 raised for the Hair and Beauty Charity, Beauty Backed has since evolved into a trust which aims to assist everyone and anyone who works, or who wants to work, in the beauty industry. With beauty contributing £28 billion to the British economy each year, the Beauty Backed founder, Caroline Hirons, and trustees passionately believe this is a valuable industry which is too often ignored or overlooked. The goal of Beauty Backed is to change this way of thinking and provide a means to support everyone in the beauty industry.
