STfL is a dynamic community led charity, bringing trees to South East London since 2012. We are ambitious to tackle poor air quality and provide a greener landscape across Lewisham and beyond. Our objectives are to: - Green the streets of Lewisham Borough and respond to climate change issues by planting trees in partnership with residents - Forge links with local schools to enable street planting that will reduce the effects of air pollution and provide shading and screening for school playgrounds. - Develop learning programmes about trees, biodiversity and environmental benefits - Implement our innovative community based tree care programme to ensure a high tree survival rate Our work includes: - Planting over 240 trees a year across Lewisham Borough -Promoting and nurturing community interest in trees - Supporting residents, groups and schools with tree planting programmes - Raising funds to support tree planting
