Documentary Channel was a 24-hour-per-day, 7-days-a-week television network dedicated exclusively to airing the works of independent documentary filmmakers. Documentary Channel featured some of the highest quality documentary films ever made. The channel was independently owned and operated until it was purchased by Participant Media in December 2012.
