Dark Rift Horror is a multi-media horror studio behind the award winning movie BOOK OF MONSTERS. Driven by our unique brand of blood-soaked popcorn horror, we create community driven horror entertainment for a worldwide audience. Founded in 2015 as genre film production company Dark Rift Films by Paul Butler & Stewart Sparke, the studio produced THE CREATURE BELOW and BOOK OF MONSTERS. Both films premiered at Frightfest London and secured international distribution deals, with the latter winning several awards at film festivals around the world. THE CREATURE BELOW was the studio's first feature film and premiered at FRIGHTFEST London in 2016 and has since secured distribution deals at CANNES and AFM in ten territories, with the now available on DVD, BLU-RAY & VOD around the world. Self financed by Paul & Stewart with a budget of only £12,000 and shot over just fourteen days, the film proved critically and commercially successful. BOOK OF MONSTERS is the latest feature length horror film and began life as a Kickstarter campaign with a unique twist – backers could to vote on six key elements of the movie including what form the monsters would take and how they killed their victims! The Kickstarter campaign raised £45,000 and became one of the 15 most funded horror movies on the crowdfunding platform at the time. Principal photography was completed in October 2017. The film had its World Premiere at Arrow Video Frightfest on 25th August 2018 in London and has since picked up 7 awards, including most recently “Best Film” and “Best Special FX” at the New York City Horror Film Festival. The film is now available around the world on DVD, Blu-ray and Amazon Prime.
