Halıcıoğlu Data Science Institute is a unique, independent academic program and collaborative, cross-discipline research institute at UC San Diego. Our mission is to lay the groundwork for the scientific foundations of this emerging discipline, develop new methods and infrastructure, and train students, faculty and industry partners to harness the power of data science to help solve some of the world’s most pressing problems.
