East Lothian’s flagship arts venue is also recognised for being a versatile space with excellent facilities available for hire. The Brunton offers a variety of auditoria and rooms ideal for a wide range of events including: weddings, conferences, meetings, product launches, graduation ceremonies, receptions and dinners. The Brunton programmes a wide variety of professional theatre, dance, music, comedy, children's theatre, new release films, National Theatre Live and Royal Opera House live screenings all year round. There is panto fun for everyone with The Brunton's own festive pantomime and a vibrant Edinburgh Fringe Festival programme too. The Brunton houses a traditional theatre, seating 296 in raked seating with clear sightlines, as well as Venue 1 which has fully retractable seating for up to 496, or can be configured for round tables or standing events. Venue 2 is a smaller flexible space which can seat up to 220. The Brunton's facilities include two bars and a fully equipped kitchen. Events can be fully catered or arrangements can be made for hirers to bring in their own preferred caterers.
