The InnovationCampus creates a platform to promote a lively exchange between the various scientific fields, but also between science and industry, and thus strengthens the Stuttgart-Karlsruhe research region as well as Baden-Württemberg as a business location. The InnovationCampus has defined several core objectives: On the basis of excellent, interdisciplinary basic research, * to produce disruptive technologies, new innovation processes and leap innovations in enabling technologies, * to transfer these to industry and * to contribute to actively shaping the transformation of mobility. Through the unique combination and networking of the competencies of the university and research locations Stuttgart and Karlsruhe, * new research areas are to be opened up, * scientific excellence and the training of young scientists in Baden-Württemberg are to be strengthened, and * international visibility is to be increased.
