Here at Life Skills Therapy, we want your child to be able to communicate about the things that matter. We help children and families develop communication goals to meet the needs of daily life. Whether it is problems making sounds, combining words, understanding directions, stuttering, or social skills, we are here to help. We provide speech language pathology services for children of all ages. Life Skills Therapy was founded by Sean Ferguson, speech language pathologist (M.A. CCC-SLP). Life Skills Therapy provides speech pathology services (speech therapy) for children in a functional setting, with caregivers present and trained in cuing in order to facilitate carryover of skills acquisition at home. The focus of speech and language therapy is to help children with communication impairments improve their ability to express themselves, to formulate sentences about topics of interest, to combine sounds to make words and sentences, to use proper syntax to convey thoughts accurately, and to improve effective social skills (pragmatics) development, among other goals.
