When the COVID-19 pandemic interrupted me from my daily escape, I decided an analysis of my home was the prescription I needed from COVID fatigue, and I made a surprising discovery. Personal spaces, whether office or home, can be made to function as not only peaceful and calm retreats, but also polished and refined to create an elegant place for living and working. We all need beauty and joy in our lives, especially in the spaces we spend all our time in. In most cases, what is needed to create this transformation already exists in the space. It just takes time and creativity to polish the gifts and graces of the physical environment, and minimize its handicaps.
