The New Zealand marine industry is New Zealand's largest non-primary manufacturing-based industry employing over 10,000 people in approximately 1,000 companies of varying sizes. The New Zealand Marine Industry Association (NZ Marine) also comprises the NZ Marine Industry Training Organisation and the NZ Marine Export Group. NZ Marine owns and manages the popular Auckland On Water Boat Show, a consumer-focused programme called Discover Boating and industry programmes such as the New Zealand Audit Boat Building Standard Compliance Plate Certification (CPC) programme.
