www.annakirk-smith.comDue to my rather dichotomous background firstly in veterinary medicine and then an MA from the Royal College of Art, my approach to subjects (currently natural history, geology, meteorology) is both scientific and artistic; the inspirations, methodologies and practical aspects of both fuse to form hybrid works. I am becoming increasing intrigued by the communication of scientific data through visual means, and undertook a commission form the Wildlife Trusts recently where I learned to scuba dive and observe and draw marine species underwater in order to progress to being a Seasearch cataloguer and interpreter.
