Lawyers Alert is a Civil Society Organisation that is non-partisan and non-profit made up substantially of Lawyers and other professionals committed to the entrenchment of democracy, rule of law and socio-economic development of residents of Nigeria with particular emphasis on women. Our Vision is to have a developed Nigeria where women and vulnerable groups are free from injustice. With the mission is to empowerment of the citizenry especially women and other vulnerable groups through knowledge of their rights and accessible means of enforcing same in a secure environment Our Objectives includes: To research, document violations, intervene and carry out advocacy on women rights with focus on Gender Based Violence and SRHR. To create awareness on, monitor, document, and publicize violations against Persons Living With, Affected By & Most at Risk of HIV Infection in Nigeria. To build capacity of vulnerable and excluded groups/communities to demand and enjoy their rights including provision of free legal services. To work with government at all levels to promote policies and practices that strengthen the legal system and guarantee a free and independent Justice Sector.
