Merton Centre for Independent Living (Merton CIL) provides a range of free and supportive services to Deaf and Disabled People living within the London Borough of Merton. Merton CIL is the only user-led, pan-Disability Deaf and Disabled People's Organisation in Merton. We delivered 1392 sessions of Advice and Advocacy support last year, covering benefits, community care, housing, health and hate crime against Deaf and Disabled People. We also run a monthly group called Craftivism and Chat which aims to reduce isolation and loneliness. And, our Policy and Strategy project enables Deaf and Disabled people to speak up and make change happen on a local level.
