Flagship periodical of the World Health Organization. The World Health Organization's mission: to promote health, keep the world safe, and serve the vulnerable. Working through offices in more than 150 countries, WHO staff work side by side with governments and other partners to ensure the highest attainable level of health for all people. The Bulletin of the World Health Organization is a monthly peer reviewed journal of public health with a special focus on developing countries. Since it was first published in 1948, it has become one of the world’s leading public and environmental health journals with an impact factor of 6.361 (2017). All peer reviewed articles are published with abstracts in six official UN languages: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Spanish and Russian. Anyone can submit a paper to the Bulletin, the journal is fully open-access with no article-processing charges or author fees.
