I offer interaction /UX and service design consulting services, based on my 15 years’ practical experience in digital design, service design, user research, testing and workshop facilitation, product design and illustration. I specialise in bespoke and complex user interfaces, data visualisation and service design. I can help make best use of modern design practice, humanise new technologies, and design enterprise, B2B and VR applications. I am a particularly capable communicator with strong sketching skills and a rigorous, people-first approach to design. I have years of experience managing design teams and co-creating with others in both in-house and agency environments, with particular strengths in practising Lean methods embedded in Agile development teams. I am a confident presenter and speaker, happy advising, explaining and co-creating with stakeholders and suppliers from all manner of industries. As a designer, I work comfortably across the entire research and design process and am equally capable when it comes to UX /interaction of UI /visual focused work. I have experience creating responsive web, native app, Windows software and VR experiences. I also have a decade of experience conducting user research and usability testing around the world, from observational studies to interviews to focus groups, as well as facilitating high energy, collaborative workshops for large groups of people.
