Sinai Cement Company was established in1997 for the production of cement that includes packing cement in bags and the manufacture of all cement products. Company’s plant located in North Sinai with 2 production lines and an annual capacity of 3.5 million tons of cement per annum. In 2003, the company increased its paid-in capital to LE 350 million through a strategic partnership with VICAT, an international group of companies and a French family-run business, became the main shareholder of Sinai Cement. VICAT was founded 165 years ago, after Louis Vicat invented artificial cement in 1817.
