In addition to the annual Career Development Conference, we provide training and networking opportunities year round in order to support career practitioners in ongoing professional development and lifelong learning. We believe that knowledge sharing is key to a healthy and sustainable sector. The mentorship project is our latest effort to bring together emerging professionals who are eager to learn and established career practitioners who are keen to share their knowledge and expertise. Our Mandate BCCDA's mandate is to provide a central networking, education, and training service to develop the knowledge and skills of career practitioners, thus enhancing their effectiveness for serving their clients. BCCDA has an active board of directors dedicated to serving members and career professionals throughout British Columbia. Our Members Our membership is comprised of professionals across the spectrum of career and employment practices and services in BC. These include professionals in employment, rehabilitation, career counselling, human resource management, settlement, other and related fields, working in a wide range of environments including but not limited to: government funded employment programs, non-profit and other community agencies, private career and employment service companies, employers, outplacement and career transitions services, independent/self-employed practitioners, public secondary and post-secondary schools, colleges, and universities and private training colleges.
